Music Friday

Here is another great new song out there.  I've heard the 'Behind the Music' on this one too.  While it's not quite as compelling as the one behind Greater, this song is amazing.  I cried the first time I heard it.

I've been watching and praying a good friend from church go through some awful health issues over the last few months. When I heard this song, I thought of her. Not because she needs to give her life completely to the Lord (she's done that for years!) but it's easier said that done to hand your health over to Him.

So Joyce, you know this one is for you. And every time I hear it, I say more prayers for you.  You are such a fighter and WE will beat this. WE will pray you through this.

And we ask for COMPLETE healing.

Music Friday

I know I haven't posted in a while and yes I'm another year older but I wanted to share this song with you.  I heard the story behind the song and I sobbed.  I tell Big Sister (who easily gets her feelings hurt) that when people laugh at her, she can just say she's holy, righteous and redeemed! She has something in her heart that not many of her friends do. For that, I am thankful.

This is also on my playlist when I run.  I'm not one of those raise your hand in church when you worship people (there is nothing wrong with that, I'm just not that) but when this song comes on and I'm running, I worship.  Hands in the air and all.  I might look silly but I don't care. It pushes me through on more than one level!

FYI, the story behind this is Bart Millard (their lead singer) has a son with a studdering problem.  He said when people make fun of him, he just tells them he has something in his heart that they don't and he's perfect.  He says he's holy, righteous and redeemed.  I love this.  I can't wait to see them next month in concert and sing this with Big Sister!
