Storybook Parade

I cannot say how much I LOVE our school.  The teachers are awesome and when they get into something, they really get into it!

Today was our Storybook Parade.  Kids dress up like their favorite storybook character and parade around the school.  Usually it's outside but today it's pouring so they had it in the auditorium.  It took longer but was super fun!

This is my kid's teacher.  She got one to say Hotty Toddy but the MSU one refused!  Good job T!

Our principal was dressed as Mother Goose.  When the parade was over, she read a few stories from her book.  The other teachers acted out the characters.

3 Little Kittens that lost their mittens.

The cat and the fiddle and the cow jumping over the moon!

The dish ran away with the spoon!

Jack and Jill

I didn't get a good pic of this because I was not ready for him the actually FALL down.  He had confetti in his pail to make it look like water.  Jill fell down and literally rolled off the stage beside him.

Humpty Dumpty

The old lady that went to the cupboard to fetch her poor dog a bone. She had a fake dog on wheels pulling behind her!

The clock watchman! It's 8:00 and all the kids should be in bed!

Big Sister's teacher was the old lady that lived in a shoe.

She had so many kids, she didn't know what to do!

She so whipped them all and put them to bed!

How do your flowers grow?

Pat a cake, pat a cake baker!

Hickory Dickory Dock!

The super awesome staff at school!  So creative and so much fun!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Birthday Mom in Law!

Yesterday was my wonderful Mother-in-Law's birthday.  Melda, we hope it was a great day and you got that nap you wanted!

We love you and cannot thank you enough for all you do for us!  Always cooking or watching kids, it's all appreciated!!!!!  We are so proud of all you've accomplished this past year!

I don't have any recent pics to show off just how great she looks, except for this one but she's all bundled up at the Pumpkin Patch!

We love you MeMe!!!!!!!

Crock Pot Potato Chowder

I did a little guest post on my favorite soup for the Mississippi Women Bloggers.

You can view it here.

And a correction on the recipe.  Or the picture really.  In the picture, there are 2 cans of cream of potato.  I'm not sure why I grabbed 2.  I've always put 1 can, even though the recipe doesn't call for it.  I'm not sure why either but I do.  It won't hurt either way, in my opinion!

If you are a blogger and haven't signed up yet, do it now.  Go here, it's EASY!

Veggie Tales

I'm sure you are all tired already of hearing about Operation Christmas Child and packing shoe boxes.  If so, I'm not sorry!  It means a lot to me to help them get the word out!

If you teach preschool or school-age kids at our church or daycare, there is a great opportunity to teach them about OCC with Veggie Tales.  Both OCC and Veggie Tales are celebrating their 20th anniversaries this year so they've decided to team up!  I think it's a fabulous idea.

You can watch this video and show it to your kids at home and/or at school.  It's a great tool.

You can also visit their website here for more information on their partnership and for coloring pages, etc.

Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, we made the trek over to Louisiana to the Pumpkin Patch.  We really enjoy spending time with family at this out of the way pumpkin patch.

We had a great time.  Lots of family and friends went.  I took a ton of pictures. Little Sister CRASHED on the way home.  Big Sister rode with the cousins and watched a movie.

WARNING: Picture overload!

Oh, and baby Tate made his debut but it was so cold we didn't take any pictures of him!  He stayed bundled up in the stroller most of the time.  Pure sweetness he is!

Two peas in a pod!

She loves her some B!

Aunt Lindsey braved the big jumpy thing!

I LOVE this face.  Bring it on 'bucking' bull!

Meme took a break!

This was my view during the corn maze. She led the way. Completely fearless, unless she saw a bug.

What a fun day.  I think we were all in need of a nap after a full day of soccer and pumpkin patching!
