Vacation Day 6

This morning, we got up and got dressed up in order to take the coveted 'beach' pictures before our Moms left.

We (ok I) didn't pick a good spot but that's ok. We got a FEW family photos before Baby Sister flew the coop.  She does not sit still for longer than 2 seconds, unless watching Yogi Bear.  Yeah, that's another story.

She was ready to go to the pool.  Plus, she's not as much of a Daddy's girl as her Sister is.

But he did build some pretty darn good sand creations.

We decided we'd had enough eating out with busy kids so we cooked a frozen pizza (yes pizza again, I know!) and watched Epic.  At first, the girls were glued to it.  I think they were tired too.

But then, they got a 2nd wind and were literally climbing the furniture.

Once they went to bed, I went to the balcony to read and listen to the waves.
This sums it up best!

Vacation Day 5

Today was another fun-filled day.  The water was the calmest I have EVER seen.  No waves hardly at all.  Makes it fun for some but I'm one that likes to jump in the waves and dive through them.  Oh well, not today.  It was fun for Baby Sister who actually would swim in the Gulf and not worry about her getting taken under!

This was her "You aren't taking a picture of me are you?" face.  Nope, not me.  This was one time I was lucky enough to just chill and lay out while she swam and her Sister napped upstairs, which her Daddy and at least one Grandmother!

After a fun day, Daddy went across the street to pick up some Italian for the Grandmothers and the kids while I showered and got all dressed up.  We took advantage of the extra babysitters and planned a beach date night.  We went to the same exact place as we went on our date last year.  I know, we don't vary much apparently.

We went to a place called Cobalt.  They have some EXCELLENT firecracker shrimp that is HOT.  We brought some back with us for everyone to try.

This was the Hubby's appetizer.  It was good too. Some kind of shrimp.

After we got stuffed at dinner, we rode around and looked at new condos, etc.  I know, the wild life.  Then we ran by the store for a few things.

When we got home, the kids were still awake. My mom looked at me and said, "Why are y'all home so early?"  HAHA.  We like to live on the wild side.

I'll be honest.  It was nice to have some adult conversation and actually eat my phone without someone trying to steal my ice or asking for more Dr. P.  It was quiet and peaceful and enjoyable.  Don't get me wrong, I love my kids but we are so at the point with Baby Sister that you don't go out to eat in public.  She's getting better but she doesn't eat much so she's either trying to steal your ice or get in your lap.  Or distracting her Sister so they can pester each other.

The story of our trip.  Those 2 girls pestered and pestered each other to no end.  But they love and ADORE each other.

Just makes for crazy parents, and grandparents!

Then the next day?  The grandparents left.  I think we were alllll sad.

Vacation Day 4

This day started out with a little rain.  So we played hide and seek around the condo.  Ours had some really good hiding places.  I was able to hide and scare Big Sister a time or two.  So much so that she declared we weren't allowed to scare each other!

We were potty training while waiting on the rain to pass.

Daddy and Big Sister went out EARLY, before the rain.
I caught them having an in depth conversation waiting on the guy to finish cleaning the pool.

After the storms, came the sun, for a little while.  There was a cool rainbow around the sun.

After a day of play, we came in to shower and get ready to celebrate the big birthday!

We let her open her present before we left for dinner at Lulu's.

She opened that one present piece by piece.  Big Sister was there to help, of course!

New cups and a talking Minnie to go with the Mickey and Goofy we already have!

Then, we headed out to Lulu's with our new loot.

Lulu's is not all that fun in the wet and rain.
We won't talk about the food either.  Needless to say, we won't be back.

What do you want to eat?

I'll have some ice.  Yep, that's all she ate at her birthday supper. Oh and maybe a french fry.

Once the dinner was over, we headed back to the condo for dessert!

Which was enjoyed by all!

Happy birthday celebration Baby Girl!
