Today is Good Friday. I love Easter and what all it is about. Our Savior died on the Cross for us just to save us from our sins. How awesome is that? That someone would wash the feet of anyone, especially knowing that He was going to die and that one of them would betray Him.
I love this from Max Lucado's Six Hours One Friday.
Six hours. One Friday. To the casual observer, the six hours are mundane. God is on a cross. The Creator of the universe is being executed. Thorns rip his scalp. His lungs scream with pain. Yet, death is not ready.
And there is no one to save him, for he is sacrificing himself.
It is no normal six hours... It is no normal Friday.
Living He loved us, dying He saved us. Oh Glorious day. By Casting Crowns.
